Description
Atlanta Contemporary Art Center is dedicated to excellence, experimentation and education in all forms of contemporary art. Founded in 1973 as a grassroots artists' cooperative known as Nexus, the center is a dynamic non-collecting arts institution. It exhibits the work of consequential artists from local, regional, national and international art scenes, creating in various media and exploring a broad range of content. ACAC pays particular attention to artists who have not had significant exhibitions in the Southeast. Its public programs include talks, lectures, panel discussions, workshops, screenings, tours and events that foster appreciation and understanding in diverse audiences.
