Opening Reception: Friday, July 27 from 7 to 10 p.m.
This four-artist solo exhibit features works by SCAD graduates Lucha Rodriguez and Nathan Sharratt in addition to works by abstract cut-paper artist Jon Arge and Cartoon Network artist Richard Tapp. Rodriguez's organically inspired pink "creaturettes" are extravagant symbols of the body as it relates to the metaphysical. Sharratt's works take viewers through the humor, wit and play of popular music through the layering of laser-cut vinyl letters in a vibrant array of color and depth. Tapp seeks to illustrate the human experience through paint, clay and polymer. Arge's works feature his meticulously designed, layered cut paper pieces in explosions of color designed to make viewers smile.
