Curator Talk: Saturday, June 16 at 11 a.m.

Drawing is an essential creative act. Whether an elaborately detailed finished work of BIC pen and BIC White-Out, a sewn thread design, the beginning sketches for textiles, or a figurative gesture in pencil, drawing is a shared form of artistic expression. The works in this exhibit explore the nature of drawing from the miniature and obsessive to the boldly impressionistic. The exhibit includes works by 15 artists based in the Athens, Ga., area: James Barsness, Jamie Bull, Adriane Colburn, Diane Edison, Laura Foster, Lauren Gallaspy, Susan Hable, Carol John, Alex Murawski, Clay McLaurin, Michael Oliveri, Kathryn Refi, Art Rosenbaum, Leslie Snipes and Jessica Wohl.
