Event Description
Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
Jimmy Carter Presidential Library & Museum is part of the Presidential Library System administered by the National Archives and Records Administration. The library is not a library in the usual sense but is a research facility featuring archives and a museum. The museum includes photographs and historical memorabilia from the Carter presidency (1976-1981). An exact replica of the Oval Office and gifts received by the Carters are featured. There is also a permanent exhibit focusing on significant events that occurred during Carter's life and political career that includes photographs with interpretative text.
