Event Description
No matter what your favorite style of decorative painting, you will find it at this premiere repository of the style.
Contemporary Collection: The artwork in this collection was created roughly in the 1940s and '50s. The immergence of the style coincided with the trend of home artists beginning to revive the tradition of decorating functional objects for the home.
The Historic Collection: Traditional folk painting forms the basis of the historic portion of the museum.
Decorative Arts Collection Awards: Each year the museum sponsors a competition to find the best in contemporary decorative painting. The winner is awarded a purchase prize, and the winning entry becomes a permanent part of the museum's collection.
