Flux Projects Invites You to Join Their Efforts

7/28/2010

In 2010, Flux Projects will commission 21 works of public art and support 81 artists in their creative endeavors. Neighborhoods across Atlanta will be enriched with performances, projections, dance, music, light installations and other forms of public interactions. These extraordinary projects, including the FLUX event in October, will be found in remarkably varied locations spanning from the clouds above the city to the wall outside your favorite coffee shop. In between they will be seen along roadways, on sidewalks, projected against buildings, and situated in shopping malls, parks and parking lots. These works will explore the diversity of public spaces within the city and engage people individually and communally.

Flux Projects invites you to join their efforts by contributing to and supporting their year of programs. Here's how...

Mission:

Flux Projects supports artists in creating innovative temporary public art throughout Atlanta. The organization produces new platforms for artistic experimentation that engage a broad audience in their daily lives, beyond the walls of traditional arts venues. They challenge artists to make exceptional, surprising work that inspires Atlanta and fosters an awareness of the richness and diversity of the city's creative culture.
